Volunteers are the heart of ACTC!
Here are some ways you can help.

On Site

Receive and process food donations
Check expiration dates, sort, and store food donations. One team meets on Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to noon at our warehouse. Others work at donation sites and storage locations on varied schedules.

Pack grocery bags
Work with a team at the Timonium warehouse to pack bags of nonperishable food for neighbors in need. The packing team meets on Sundays from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m.

Transport food
Use your own pick-up truck or full-size SUV to move packed grocery bags from our Timonium warehouse to the ACTC center in Towson (usually on Sundays from 1:00 and 3:30 p.m.), or to pick up food from suppliers or deliver groceries to the homebound (schedules vary).

Professional or administrative support
Help with mailings, phone calls, event planning, data entry, IT support, or other projects.

Host a neighborhood food drive
Put a box on your driveway or porch, and let your neighbors know you are collecting food for ACTC. Then, bring the food from your neighborhood collection to one of our drop-off locations.

Provide fresh food for neighbors in need
Volunteers are needed to make sandwiches and to provide fruit and water at scheduled times.
