MARYLAND FOOD BANK DONATES 6,000 LB. OF CANNED GOODS: Volunteers unloaded 6,000 pounds of canned goods from 10 pallets donated by the Maryland Food Bank and delivered on Friday, March 16 to stretch ACTC's shrinking food supplies. Varieties of pastas, vegetables, soup and stew were stacked in the storage area where it will soon be transferred to ACTC's food pantry for distribution to needy famiies and individuals living in central Baltimore County.

ACTC JOINS 'THE FEINSTEIN CHALLENGE': ACTC has again become part of the national hunger awareness campaign "The Feinstein Challenge." Through March and April, donations to ACTC will be matched in part by the Feinstein Foundation founded by Alan Shawn Feinstein. Each year he contributes $1 million to U.S. agencies helping to fight hunger in their communities.

If you have already planned to support the center financially, please consider giving your donation during March and April when it can generate more income. Food counts too. A portion of food donations count toward the amount ACTC collects for the challenge.

FEEDING THE HOMELESS: Towson Presbyterian Church offers good food and an escape from bad weather on weekends for the homeless with its complete meal and dessert served Sundays from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. at the church, 400 West Chesapeake Ave., in the heart of Towson.
